Building a Garment Tech Pack

Once your Library is set up, you can start creating tech packs using the stored components. Tech packs are essential documents that outline the specifications needed to manufacture your garments accurately and consistently.

📝 Creating Your First Tech Pack

Tailr makes it easy to create a tech pack from scratch or using existing Library components.

Steps to create a tech pack:

  1. Navigate to the Tech Packs section from the dashboard.

  2. Click Create New Tech Pack.

  3. Fill in basic information like product name, code, and description.

  4. Add relevant components from your Library, such as fabrics, trims, and features.

  5. Upload additional files or notes if needed.

➕ Adding Library Components to Your Tech Pack

After creating a tech pack, you can easily pull components from your Library:

How to add components:

  • Fabrics: Select from your pre-saved fabrics, complete with specifications.

  • Trims & Threads: Add trims and threads directly from the Library.

  • Print Files & Colours: Attach designs and select colours from your Library.

  • Features: Incorporate features like fit, closures, and construction details.

✅ Benefit: Pulling from the Library reduces manual input and helps avoid errors.

📤 Exporting and Sharing Tech Packs

Once your tech pack is complete, you can export and share it with your team or manufacturers:

Export options:

  • PDF: Download a print-friendly version for offline use.

  • Direct Link: Share a secure link for real-time updates.

🔔 Tip: Use the direct link option to ensure collaborators always access the most updated version.
